Over 10 years ago, when investing in infrastructure for the My Phuoc urban area and industrial zones in Ben Cat Town, Binh Duong Province, the infrastructure for the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 was already planned and allocated (at that time, the project had just been approved for investment).

The Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project has a total length of over 200 km, with a total investment of approximately 137,000 billion VND, passing through Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An, and Ba Ria – Vung Tau. The project features a 4-lane expressway, with continuous emergency stop lanes, 23 interchanges, and service roads and local roads on both sides according to the traffic needs of each locality.

According to the report from the Department of Transport of Binh Duong Province, the project is being invested under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) method, with a BOT contract type. The project will be divided into two component projects.

Of which, Component Project 1 related to land clearance has been approved by the People’s Committee of Binh Duong Province for the investment preparation cost estimate and the approval of the land clearance staking documents. Component Project 2 (construction) is expected to begin construction at the end of this year.

NE2 Road, along with the My Phuoc – Bau Bang section passing through Ben Cat City, is considered one of the most beautiful and modern roads in Binh Duong Province.

This road is designed with a scale of 10 lanes, featuring a rigid median and modern infrastructure such as a sign system, street lighting, and greenery.

This is considered an advantage for the province when implementing the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project. However, the road has a limitation due to many intersections, especially the interchange with the My Phuoc – Tan Van – Bau Bang Road and National Route 13, which have high traffic density.

According to observations, this road connects major industrial zones in Binh Duong, passing through universities and bustling residential areas.

According to the leadership of the Department of Transport of Binh Duong Province, the locality will review the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project and then report to the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the relevant provinces. Based on this, the involved units will present the report to the Ministry of Transport and the National Assembly by the end of this year.
